I hold a BCom Accounting degree from the University of Johannesburg and am eager to begin my career in the accounting field. I'm currently working as a Credit Consultant at a bank, where I've gained valuable exposure to financial processes and client service. I'm looking for a role where I can apply the knowledge and skills I acquired during my undergraduate studies, while continuing to learn and grow professionally.

Credit Consultant at Discovery Bank (2024-09 – Present)

• Learn and apply credit vetting processes according to bank procedures under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
• Analyse financial data of various clients to assess creditworthiness of individuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely credit assessments.
• Liaise with clients by taking direct and transfer calls to assist in servicing their credit/product related queries.
• Audit of credit assessors' assessment to ensure procedural standards were met.
• Advise clients on application outcomes or on documents required to complete applications.
• Approve, recommend limits and verify client applications in accordance with risk and affordability procedures, measures and organisational SOPs.
