I QUALIFIED AS AN AIRCRAFT MECHANIC AT SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS IN 2001 JUNE. I WORKED IN ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT FUEL AND OIL AIRCRAFTS COMPONENTS WORKSHOP FOR SEVEN YEARS. HERE I HAD TO DOUBLE CHECK COMPONENTS IN RECEIVING AREA FOR CORRECT LABELLING AND MAKE SURE OF THE WORKSHOP CAPABILITY STATUS REGARDING THE COMPONENT AND AVAILABILITY OF LATEST REVISION RELEVANT WORKSHOP MANUALS TO CARRY OUT REPAIRS AND OR COMPLETE OVERHAUL AND BENCH TESTING BEFORE RELEASE BACK INTO SERVICE.
I LATER ON MOVED INTO THE AIRCRAFT HANGARS ACCOMPLISHING MINOR AND MAJOR MAINTENANCE ON BOTH NARROW BODY AND WIDE BODY AIRCRAFTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RELEVANT APPROVED AIRCRAFT MANUALS WITH A GREAT TEAM OF TECHNICIANS IN THE FIELD.
OBSERVING AND ASSURING GOOD PRACTICE OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES WITHOUT COMPROMISE.
I PREVIOUSLY GAINED A SHORT EXPERIENCE ON WORKING ON BUSES MECHANICAL WORKSHOP AS A DIESEL MECHANIC FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE MONTHS.
