I have been in the fresh produce industry for about 8years after completing my professional qualification (B.Tech(Hons) Post Harvest Technology). Throughout this time I have learnt a lot about people management, systems implementation and maintenance, audits, post harvest handling and quality of fruit and vegetables and lots more. I am still keen to learn more.
The bulk of my experience has been as a quality manager dealing with Food Safety Systems and also Implementing quality control procedures.
I also got exposure to managing sustainability systems and working with growers.
B. Tech (Hons) Post Harvest Technology is about constantly finding cost effective ways to add value to produce whilst maintaining important and desirable intrinsic parameters of fruit and vegetables.
