Livashnee Pillay

I have completed my BSS Geography and Environmental Management Honours Degree, mooring in Geography and Environmental Studies. I focused my research around the Sustainability framework to have a better all encompassing idea of the inter-relations of the environmental, social and economic dimensions within society. I have knowledgeably dealt with waste, energy, transportation and water management.

Dived into the understandings of digital and technological use for sustainable production practices. In addition, I am knowledgeable in Microsoft programs. GIS, academic writing, research reporting and presentations.

I genuinely enjoy the field I am in as well as the work I have studied. Since I was young I have had a strong concern and passion for the environment. In the work field I can guarantee that I will bring a sense of drive like no other because I truly love what I do.

I am eagerly waiting for an opportunity to arise in order to pursue my passion, develop myself, an industry and better the environment. Thank you for your time.

I have entry level experience. As I have done a short term demonstration/tutor contract with the UKZN-PMB Institute. I also recently did a 6 months environmental consulting internship. I have learnt a great deal through the internship ranging from more depth of Microsoft programs to environmental reporting.

Additionally alot of my experience comes from my research study at a corporate industry and through research literature. However I am hardworking and eager to learn. I have the ability to adapt well and engage fast.

I completedy BSS Geography and Environmental Management Degree, Majoring in Geography and Environmental Studies. Well informed in the electives of sociology, academic writing, research modules and philosophy. I felt these were modules that complimented my field well by aiding to my understanding on realistic lived experience in society as a mojar aspect of my studies in the environment and human interrelationships.

I then furthered my academics by completing my BSS Geography and Environmental Management Honours Degree. With all modules structured around Geography and Environmental Studies. Main focuses including social and environmental legislations, natural resource management, contemporary and sustainable land use, tourism sector, rural development as well as historical social and environmental factors.

I do wish to continue furthering my studies for myself, the academic field as well as to benefit the company or organization I am in relations with.
