My role included providing psychosocial support to families and clients who are diagnosed with HIV or TB. Supporting and working with community health workers in conducting awareness about HIV/AIDS and TB campaigns. Conduct assessments with vulnerable groups to identify an appropriate intervention.
Implement the identified intervention and provide support, counseling, and guidance to the affected individuals. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention and give a report of progress to supervisor. Keeping detailed professional notes and relevant documentation of cases.
Facilitating mental health, treatment adherence and drug awareness support group. Support child and youth care workers at Drop-in center’s with reading skills, home works and follow up with parents whose children are identified with risk behavior. Conduct counselling sessions, facilitate group work programs and organize community development projects.
