Secure and control a crime scene. Search for evidence and seize exhibits. Utilize relevant investigation aids. Record relevant information on the scene of crime. Identify victims, suspects and witnesses and ensure that they are dealt with appropriately.
Interview the complainant and keep him/her informed throughout the investigation. Identify, trace and locate possible suspects. Interview suspects and take statements and submit dockets for court decision.
Ensure availability of witnesses and evidence.
