I’m currently working for Barloworld Equipment as an Earthmoving Mechanic,looking for a more responsible role with challenges so I can learn new skills and expand my knowledge to help in contributing to the organisation’s growth.
I started my leanership programme in 2012,qualified in 2015 and have since then been placed at a Glencore marc site Goedgevonden Colliery performing both planned and breakdown repairs on CAT equipment,I am a Senior Team Leader for the Service Crew which deals mainly with executing monthly services and backlogs on the equipments,I ensure quality maintenance by conducting an overall inspection post service by taking pictures and counter-signing each jobcard and making notes of what needs to be done in the next service.I believe in doing it right the first time,if the equipment is serviced properly,it should be able to run from service to service without breaking down….Preventative Maintenance is key to keep the Customer happy,KPI’s should not drop.
