Senior Buyer kitchen and dining at Mr Price Group (2015-01 – 2023-12)
Overseeing 19 categories in the kitchen and dining department with a staff of 19. Job function is running a R800m portfolio. Aside from running a team of 19, I have my own portfolio which is Pantry (edibles and gifting) appliances, Bar and Christmas.
Launching these new projects and growing these categories successfully year on year. With proof to show KPIs. I deal with a supply base of over 74 suppliers. Travel is a huge part of my career, stock trips to ensure competitive pricing, Trend trips to Germany, Dubai, Denmark and China trips to source product newness.
My wealth of knowledge comes from a grassroots level. Starting as an assistant in 2015 and working my way up over the years.
Senior buyer Furniture at Mr Price Group (2023-01 – Present)
Currently overseeing and buying furniture product that is on trend. This is over an R800m department. I manage a team of 12, which includes trainee buyers, Junior buyers and buyers. There are over 1500 skus. Compshop are essential to introduce new categories and achieve double digit growths. I have a wealth of knowledge in buying and year on year assisted with MRP homes profitable double digit growth.
