- Check the planning board for mould changes that will be taking place and prepare necessary tools and equipment.
- Ensuring all Planned machines are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines.
- Ensure quality product is being produced at all times by visual inspection and checking the weight of the bottles hourly. Take bottles to the QC lab for further tests, drop test compression/top load.
- Check and monitor the process is optimized to the fullest extent while producing quality production.
- Clean material hoppers and load all raw materials required to run production and ensure regrind material to be used is free from contamination before being put into machine.
- Monitor and report inconsistencies in above areas for all shifts not worked, notify tool room personnel of inconsistencies that maybe caused by faulty equipment/tool(mould, headtool, blowpin block etc).
- Make minor repairs to moulds like changing of cutting ring, changing damage blow pin, changing of faulty heater band and thermocouple & solid estate.
- Assisting the Production Supervisor in implementing required training for Machine Operators.
Setter - Polyoak Packaging - Department: BlowPack 1

- Monitor the weight of the drums sorting out any defects that might be appearing on the drums.
- Optimize the machines to yield the best products out put.
- Monitor and adjust the blenders to make sure the correct masterbatch, UV and regrind are set correctly to the required dosages.
- Adjust the bolts to rectify swaying parision.
- Clean the head of any plastic residue.
- Change mould inserts and neck inserts and mould change when required.
- Replace faulty thermocouple heat band and solid estate.
- Change limit switch and linear transducer.
- Change the cutting bush of a blowing pin when its blunt or damaged.
Tool Setter - Baires Plastics - Department: Moulding Department

- Starting up injection molding machines at the beginning of the shift.
- Changing of machine mould and ensuring that a smooth and effective changeover is taken within a short time frame.
- Attend to process problems on the machines.
- Ensuring the machine are running at a optimum cycle time, maintaining a constant quality requirement.
- Taking the responsibility of making sure that the machine operator/packers understands the quality requirements as per work station.
- Accessing of last off at the end of each production run when tool change is takin place.
- Implementation of action plan corrective action plan with regurds to scrap control where tool repairs required to tool room.
