I am a qualified and highly experienced Fitter and Turner with almost ten years experience in a heavy engineering environment, in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of plant equipment such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, Conveyor belts, steam boilers and steam turbines.

Water and sewer maintenance

• Installing, operating and maintaining, servicing and repairing water supply systems, water treatment plants, water storage facilities, sewerage network and sewerage treatment plants.
• Contributing to the planning of effective and efficient water and waste water treatment facilities in the town.
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of centrifugal clear water and sewage pumps, valves.
• Ensuring that all jobs are done timeously in accordance with set standards i.e. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management standard and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety
• Conducting pre-task risk assessment and ensuring that job cards are duly completed on completion of every task.
• Machining different machine components to fit in plant equipment to ensure plant availability.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance to reduce plant down-time and in the event of plant breakdown carry out root cause analysis and corrective maintenance.

• Installation and maintenance of engineering services and fault finding of plant equipment.
• Carry out work on commercial hot water boilers, steam boilers, incinerators and other steam plant.
• Carrying out work on engineering services including pipe fitting in copper, steel and plastic systems.
• Working on commercial and domestic laundry plant and equipment.
• Participating on the on call ”rota” system and providing out of hours service to all departments.
