As a mechanical fitter, I am seeking a role which allows me to continue learning and perfecting my skills as I provide high quality-work, and encourages me to flourish in the mechanical field. I am a dedicated, organized and methodical individual. I have good interpersonal skills, I am an excellent team worker and I am keen and very willing to learn and develop new skills.

Mechanical Fitter Artisan - Natal Portland Cement (NPC)

• Do daily inspections and report defects. oversee, assist and support maintenance jobs of support personnel according to NPC standards.
• Repair and maintain assets and surrounding infrastructure to minimize adverse impact on production.
• Ensure and maintain a healthy environment safe operations and practices.
• Do maintenance and preventative on plant according to safety regulations.
• Maintenance of air slides, extraction fans and membrane installation.
• Maintenance of cement mill( replacing seal, hydraulic pump and liners).
• Pre-installation on the new valve on packing plant.
• Maintenance of stretch hood, hoist for pallets and spout packers.
• Maintain plant equipment such as furnaces, valves, belt, chain drives, gearbox, conveyor belts, cyclones, blower mode, cooling towers, Pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Work planned shutdown project.
• Introduce dust extraction units on conveyer which reduces dust emission on transfer by 50%
• Plant machinery repairs and other general fitting duties.
