Chemical Process Operator - Shell and Pb Petroleum Refineries

Operate, monitor, and control chemical plant systems, equipment, and processes. Start up and shut down equipment safely according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Adjust valves, controls, and pumps to regulate flow rates, pressures, and chemical levels.
Measure, mix, and feed raw materials, chemicals, and additives into processing units. Conduct routine inspections of machinery, storage tanks, pipelines, and safety devices. Collect, test, and record samples of products and raw materials to ensure quality standards.
Monitor process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and concentration. Detect and troubleshoot process deviations or equipment malfunctions. Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, spills, leaks, and emergency situations. Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately. Maintain accurate operating logs, batch records, and shift reports. Document maintenance needs, process adjustments, and production results.
