I'm a human geographer and researcher. My research interests are in environmental frames and political processes of environmental protection, conflict over space and conservation development, and their implications to social justice, development projects, public participation, governance, sustainability, and resilience. I find particular interest in competing environmental frameworks about the issue of mining and land.
Currently, I've been working on research for the University of Cape Town’s Land Restitution Evaluation Study (LRES) on a comprehensive evaluation of the impacts of the Land Restitution Programme on the economic, social and psychological outcomes of the beneficiaries.
I'm highly skilled in research and research methods (qualitative research).
I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Geography and Environmental Management and a Master's Degree in Development Studies both from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
