Marine Security Operator - MSC CARGO

• Conducting regular patrols of cargo areas
• Ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Evaluating security / monitoring access and recommending enhancements to security measures.
• Maintaining / writing of incidents reports
• Surveillance & Watchkeeping
• Preparation and hardening before entering an HRA, guards work with the crew to implement Ship Protection Measures
• Overseeing the installation of physical deterrents like razor wire and physical barriers. Vessel Hardening: Ensuring secure locking mechanisms, deadbolts, and steel covers are firmly in place to protect the bridge and accommodation.
• Enhanced Lookouts: Manning elevated or high-visibility observation posts to detect suspicious small craft, skiffs, or vessels attempting to approach.
• Radar and Optics Use: Using night-vision devices, thermal imagery, and radar to monitor blind spots, especially from the stern or during nighttime hours.
