The main objective of my role was to be a Culture Creator in a new and exciting, family orientated environment. The core values were care, growth and grit. Andile means 'the family is growing' in Zulu, and that was my mission, to ensure healthy growth of the organisation / Andile family.

I am purposefully giving detailed information on this role, as it was the most significant position in my career, where I faced and overcame many challenges. I grew as an individual, my level of emotional intelligence also developed greatly. However, this was also a very demanding position, and as much as I love and am energised by challenges, responsibilities, and deadlines, I have a hard time saying no and would willingly bite off more than I can chew.

My reason for leaving was therefore a little bit of burnout, and a whole lot of 'I need to take care of myself'.
