I am particularly interested in Social Psychology and Sustainable Development. My MA Psychology research (An exploratory study into Born-Free’s constructions of a South African identity in contemporary South Africa) explored how nation-building discourses influence the post-apartheid generation’s perceptions of national identity. As a born-free myself, I have always been interested in understanding how political narratives and ideologies affect individuals at a national level.
I have gained theoretical and applied knowledge of various research methodologies from my postgraduate and undergraduate studies. The ability to take my knowledge to the next level is essential to me. I am a driven individual with a passion for research.
I have worked as a TEFL teacher for the past three years while completing my MA in Psychology.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria. I obtained a BA Hons in Psychology (with distinction) and a MA in Research Psychology (with distinction) from the University of Johannesburg. I am currently completing my Ph.D. in Psychology through the University of Johannesburg.
