I am software engineer specializing in the frontend development using react and typescript. I am still able to do full stack development, but I lean more towards the frontend because I care about visual elements a bit more.
I transitioned from a professional career in accounting, sales, operations and support to become full-time into software development due to my love for tech. Currently I am working as a Software Engineer in a small startup where I take full ownership of the frontend ecosystem, and collaborate with fellow teams building performant applications that look good.
I completed a 12-month intensive coding bootcamp; ALX Africa. We had a 9-month foundations stage where we learned computer science and software engineering fundamentals as well as full stack development. Then in the remaining 3 months, we had to choose specializations, and I chose to specialize in the frontend.
As for my previous career, I went to college for accounting.
