• Investigated the Role of traditional food system in the Johannesburg with special focus on migrants and immigrants. We were able to penetrate the busiest and more dangerous sites on the city to gather information for policy brief.
• Explored the knowledge and practices of participants on traditional foods and well-being
• Responsibilities: Collecting qualitative data and analysis it, transcribing, ethnographic method experience as we spent time with participants, data quality check, context reporting and designated driver.

National Dietary Intake Survey 01/2022 – 08/2022 Researcher

• I collected dietary data and anthropometric measurements around the North West province with more than 40 enumeration areas. This included infants and young children at household level and early childhood development centres, teenagers, adults and the elderly.
• Responsibilities: Liaise with the stakeholders and gatekeepers of rural and peri-urban areas; providing feedback on daily events and observations to the project coordinator, data collection and cleaning, quality check and translation of SeTswana language and designated driver.

• I collected online and social media data to explore the celebrity’s food marketing and how do they influence the childhood food choices.
• My focus was to capture nutrient content and on-package marketing, alignment of sodium in food products and R991 marketing compliance.
