I have managed a welding line supplying VW with car seats and I have managed to achieve all this with 18 operators, 1 quality inspector, 2 final-by-off and we have show good outputs and effective productivity at all times.

Make sure we produce high degree of quality products, taking into consideration all the safety measures in place to eliminate any defects, fault, rejects, rework or even the delay in pipe line stock
Train operators on a daily basis
Pre-production run
Check all jigs for by-passed sensor
Do internal audits
Implement ECR (Engineering Change Request)
Optimize process to reduce production cost
Conduct TPM
Solve problems and implement corrective action
Focus on continuous improvement planning
Provide operator with necessary tools to improve work performance
Revise control plan and process flow and make adjustments where necessary

Measuring of weld and parts using checking fixtures

Make sure that all tools are identified and calibrated
Attend pre-production meetings and list all point that needs special attention for discussion
