I'm a hard worker who always push for a positive output with less quantity input and high quality output. Been in the aluminium smelter for 21 years in different leading roles has proved that I can work in any department as an all rounder with high production results. I was also selected in many occasions to assist with safety projects and cost saving projects and been awarded certificates of appreciation by seniors for outstanding results (safety, production and costs).

I was among the team that was selected to re-start all the pots that were affected by the D257 disaster at Hillside aluminium and we did this in record time through dedication and hard work we managed to successfully revive all of them 4 months before the turn around time.

Operator - Hillside aluminium (South 32) - Richards Bay

Reduction operator - Anode change, Tapping, 24hour covering, bath tapping, Early life measurements and all reduction activities (aluminium production)

Supervisor - Hillside aluminium (South32) - Richards Bay

Reduction Supervisor - Supervising different Teams of permanent employees together with contractors (total of 25 in each team) making sure that everybody goes home safe after shift and deliver targets. Making sure that the environment is not affected buy high emissions and operate within the acceptable permit-able limit. Do quality audits, mentoring, support my team by clarifying what is not clear to them in order to deliver in a safe manner.

Responsible for production daily targets and maintenance. Closing all ICAM investigations in time.

Supervisor - Casthouse Logistics: Leading the Casthouse logistics team by ensuring that all targets are met in a safe manner. Adhere to the maintenance fleet service schedule, roadworthy certification of vehicles, licensing, scheduling of drivers. Quick reaction time in closing all ICAM investigation.
