Molese Marutha

I am Maite Marutha, Social work graduate from the University of Pretoria and currently based in pretoria, originally from limpopo. I have one year practical experience with youth living with HIV at Pretoria West Hospital. I am currently volunteering at kitso lesedi as a social worker, i enjoy watching reality documentaries as this makes me jave a different perspective about life. I also love meeting new people because I can learn new things from them and very non-judgmental. I always respect people's opinions. My long-term goals is to empower youth in rural areas or communities understand the importance of education as this can one day make them have a better life and also encourage them to understand their health rights and make access to to health care services as this will reduce ealy teenage pregnancy and also other health diseases.

I have one year practical experience with youth living with HIV, teenagers who are pregnant and patients who are substance users at Pretoria West Hospital. I provided ongoing psychocial conselling to youth woth HIV, pregnant teenagers and their families as well. I conducted and facilitated a group with youth living with HIV and did an outreach, teenage pregnancy awareness as well. Undertook and wrote up assessment and monthly reports. I also participated in the multidisciplinary team.

I hold a bachelors degree in social work from the University of Pretoria, and currently graduated in April 2022.
