A masters degree in Clinical Psychology qualifies me in South Africa to practice as a Clinical Psychologist. For the past 10 years, my practice has focused on neuropsychological and forensic assessments as well as acting as an expert witness for the courts. I have extensive experience in the psychometric assessment world and also train psychometrists for the University of Johannesburg.
Conduct various neuropsychological and other psychological assessments in relation to third-party litigation matters, insurance disputes, medical malpractice claims, matters for and against the state for various negligence or malpractices, and forensic assessments for criminal liability. Perform various private neurocognitive assessments for conditions such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and acquired brain injuries. Through the assessments identify deficits and functional difficulties and provide recommendations for rehabilitation and future treatment needs.
Conduct anin-depth history intake to understand the client holistically and all premorbid and other contributing factors.
Obtain collateral information in the form of medical records and interviews with relevant family members and stakeholders. Tailor an extensive neuropsychological battery that is unique to each individual to evaluate a client’s current level of functioning and perform a comprehensive analysis of the client’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning to compile detailed reports. Utilise extensive experience in neuropsychological assessments to provide athorough and comprehensive evaluation that helps clients, their families, and relevant stakeholders better understand the individual’s current and future needs.
