Malt Technical Operator at SAB / AB-Inbev Maltings (2023-01 – 2025-01)

• Completed a 12 months in-service training as part of diploma requirements, extended contract for an additional 2 months at the company's request.
• Completed a functional induction, covering malting operations, process monitoring, hygiene standards, and process safety.
• Operated malting equipment as part of an autonomous teams, following SOPs and applying OWD methods to improve performance and minimise downtime with minimal supervision.
• Collaborated with team members and requested help from assigned buddy, team leader and team members when troubleshooting unfamiliar issues.
• Monitored process parameters, reported irregularities to senior staff, and recorded production data (i.e. SIC boards, 5Why, Handover book, Process charts, Safety and Environmental territorial board, Analysis book, MES and MQS).
• Performed SAM and LOTOTO on shift during breakdowns.
• Performed laboratory testing and quality control for malt during germination process.
• Issued permit to work (PTW) and collaborated in Risk Assessment.
• Communicated effectively with internal stakeholders (i.e. Boiler house, team members, senior staff, technical service team, Quality team).
