A visionary and highly skilled hands-on Network Specialist/Infrastructure Manager, with over 10 years of experience in I.T leadership overseeing Infrastructure development, IT Operations and security, user support, implementing strategic IT initiatives, and leading cross-functional teams providing 24/7/365 services to over 12000 university users annually. Adept at optimising system performance, reducing downtime, and improving business functionality through innovative strategies. As an Infrastructure head, I am part of the Botswana Open University Information Technology senior technical team, where I produced and maintained important university-wide core infrastructure, high-value-added business systems, and projects that enable operational efficiency. I also examined and improved infrastructure and associated policies, standard operating procedures, and participated in the formulation and implementation of information technology strategy. To gain value from contractual services, I created, maintained, and negotiated service level agreements with information technology service providers.

I created a risk matrix for IT infrastructure, mitigated it, and applied it to ensure business continuity. I managed and coached a team of 10 different information technology engineers that provided excellent customer support to both university staff and students. To achieve continuous improvement, I diligently involved cross-functional university heads in obtaining and assessing their perspectives on the performance of infrastructure services and business systems and infused them with ideas for future improvements.
