I am a 56-year-old civil engineering technologist with more than 30 years' experience in construction management and monitoring, consulting and management of civil engineering and general built environment projects in both private and public sector. More than 15 years have been at executive level in the public sector. I have been involved in investigations or studies, planning, design and supervision of projects ranging from water reticulations, sewer systems, roads and stormwater, buildings, and management of municipal services.

Furthermore, I have experience at executive level in strategic planning, delivery management and maintenance of roads and stormwater infrastructure and water services authority function. My skills are coupled with extensive experience in project and programme management and interface with many diverse individuals and organizations including employers, specialists of various disciplines, contractors and consultants, both established and emerging. I have led the development of Water Services Authority capacity in the District Municipality and have managed a number of large projects relating to regional and township infrastructure, mainly responsible for the management, financial and development issues as well as the project technical aspects.
