- Applying disciplinary procedures effectively and efficiently within prescripts, Initiate or preside over the cases for the department and other departments.
- Handling of all misconduct and grievance cases effectively and efficiently within prescripts, as well as disputes.
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures on Labour Relations.
- Facilitating training to members of staff, rendering advice on labour relations to management and employees.
- Coordinate activities within the Employee Relations as well as ensuring sound employee relations within the department.
- Conduct investigations into misconducts and grievances cases and do research on cases.
- Represent the Department in Chamber and Council meetings and in bilateral discussions with organized Labour Unions (PHSDSBC, PSCBC).
- Represent the Sub-Directorate during Strategic meetings and planning.
- Represent the Department at CCMA and Council matters during conciliations mediations and arbitrations.
- Deals with the following Acts and Resolutions daily: LRA, BCEA, EEA, PSA, PFMA, Skills Development Act and Applicable Resolutions and Collective Agreements.
- Submission of Monthly, Quarterly and Bi-annual Reports about Suspensions, Grievances and Financial Misconduct to the Premier's Office.
- Ensure effective management and monitor implementation of collective agreements and proper administration of discipline, grievance and dispute resolution procedures and researching and studying LR trends keeping the Department abreast of the development.
- Advice and support Management and line Managers on various aspects of Labour Relations.
- Facilitate and ensure provision of training on Labour Relations matters to the entire workforce and ensure compliance to Labour Legislature.
Security Administration Officer (Information & Investigations) - Department of Social Development - Bloemfontein

- Ensure the Implementation of Regulation in respect of Classified Information and documents
- Keep record and handle all security clearances
- Ensure that policy related Information Security is implemented throughout the whole Department
- Monitor compliance of MISS/Security Policy in the Department
- Assist officials with the creation of Registers to control incoming and outgoing faxes, photo copies etc.
- Supervise staff in Section
- Liaise regularly with NIA for advice, assistance and Information regarding Security matters
- Promote and Facilitate Security awareness and education programmes
