I am a vibrant individual who possess concrete academic knowledge within the GIS sector. I am currently a GIS operator at Ugu District Municipality, and I have 5 years’ experience in the GIS Sector.

I’ve done a lot of map production, data cleaning and data analysis. Through all the work I have done, I have acquired extensive experience and understanding of GIS, report writing skills, Advance ESRI software and GPS use, geo-processing, map production, ortho and topo imagery interpretation and analysis. I’m currently employed as a GIS Operator at Ugu District Municipality.

I have also worked as a GIS Technician for Tswane IT and office solutions. During this time I had the opportunity to get exposure to the GIS field where I was able to collect raw data using a GPS, perform analysis on existing GIS data, capture and update relevant GIS data to create new data sets, customize the presentation of relevant data sets as per requirements, perform spatial analysis on the database to resolve spatial queries, add data sets and necessary components to standard layout to create the required map layout and export the map layouts to suitable format for printing and distribution purposes. I am a reliable and dependable team-worker who considers himself as an incumbent of high integrity

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Management but I have chosen to work in the fields of GIS and GPS survey environment. I possess and have extensive knowledge and experience in the use of ESRI software (ArcGIS) and GPS equipment preferred in the GIS environment. I’m responsible for all of the projects involving data capture, to be linked into a GIS, and spatial verification of data against aerial imagery.
