Nadia Nel

I'm a professional Nurse and Nursing Educator, I'm currently working in the field of psychiatry but I'm extremely passionate about teaching. I've work in all the different areas in psychiatry including alcohol rehab and herion detox unit. I love doing on the spot training and giving health education to patients.

I started my nursing career in 2017 as a professional Nurse at Stikland Hospital, I've rotate in all the different wards of psychiatry including Acute male and female wards, psycho geriatrics, psychosocial rehabilitation unit, long term male and female wards, therapeutic units eg depression and suicidal clinic, alcohol rehab and herion detox unit. I also have firm knowledge of Electro convulsions therapy and procedures.

I started my training through Cput in 2011 up until 2015 during this time I worked and trained at Tygerburg Hospital. I worked in varias ward including medical,surgical,peadiatrics, anti natal and post natal wards aswell as the MOU. In 2019 I started my post basic diploma in Nursing Education at university of Stellenbosch and graduated in 2020.
