I’m currently a Medical Officer Grade 3 at a district hospital, Kwazulu-Natal South Africa. Prior to that I’ve worked in an academic and a level 3 health facility King Edward VIII Hospital Durban. i was working in paeds department but also was a honour lecturer teaching medical students. I've been working in South Africa since 2008 mostly in peads departements of differents hospital levels from district to regional to tertieary hospitals.
In December 2021, I successfully completed Post Graduate Diploma in Child Health with the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg South Africa. The 2 years program is an integrated knowledge of many aspects of child health, providing skills and competencies applicable to multiple clinical and public rural health settings, focusing on the development and monitoring of strategies to reduce child morbidity and mortality and improve the quality of child health .
I believe in teamwork as a key of success in my daily work through my skills of listening, leadership, collaboration and good communication, among other things I most enjoy learning from every member of the team regardless of his/her experience.
I am a dedicated senior doctor, having more than 2 decades of experience focussing on child health.
I am eager to take new challenges and responsibilities, able to work under stress and believe in teamwork to achieve Health for All with cost-effective interventions because every child deserves a childhood.
