I have 15 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Radiographer and is exposed to all types of imaging modalities. In the past 3 years, I served as an Application Specialist providing both Picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) training to Radiologist, Radiographers and administrative staff for major hospitals in Gauteng and the Free State Provinces. The role included providing a 24/7 tier-1 level support, ensuring continuation of hospital radiology services, remoting to primary or secondary hospital servers, troubleshooting whilst ensuring escalation of selected cases to tier-2 level and tier-3 level support. The role also included installation of new hardware equipment to the PACS network, assist with upgrades, provide “go live” support and assist other vendors on site where possible.
Currently, I am a Diagnostic Radiographer working for a company that deals with alleviation of Tuberculosis/HIV, tracking and tracing of clients, providing counselling and conducting research into communities affected by the disease. My role is to provide primary Mobile X-ray services and manage 14 clinic facilities within the Sarah Baartman District.
15 years Radiography working experience. Knowledge of general, fluoroscopy, theatre radiography.
Currently I am a Diagnostic Radiographer working for NGO that deals with alleviation of Tuberculosis/HIV, tracking and tracing of clients, providing counselling and conducting research into communities affected by the disease. My role is to provide primary Mobile X-ray services. My role is to provide high quality chest x-rays to aid in the diagnosis of TB.
