Nikheen Naidu

Hi, my name is Nikheen Naidu.

I have a degree in computer information sciences in application development, and post graduate honors in data analytics. I am highly motivated and love the field of IT.

I am looking forward to my first work experience.

I had the opportunity of working with a client as part of my studies toward my degree. One of my assessments included developing a mobile application for an NGO. This assessment entailed us to work as a group for an up and coming NGO, Imbizo Foundation, and the client was Mr.Mthoko Shange. We were required to frequently engage with him online to discuss documentation requirements, application betas, and client recommended changes.

My Postgraduate Diploma in Data Analytics was a one year post graduates honors qualification. Some of the software skills attained in this qualification was Excel and Python. Excel was used in a statistical module, while Python was used in a programming module.

Here we played around with datasets to load the data, look at data, clean the data, process the data, implement models and analyse the results of the model. While some of the other modules in the qualification were theory based meaning we learnt about data science as a whole, the different types of data science, and how data science has helped businesses to make decisions and solve problems. This qualification is a NQF level 8.
