Noah Matsebe is a professional with diverse competencies ranging from technical, medical sales, sales and marketing, debtor management and employment equity management, diversity and inclusion. He has acquired these expertise from working in various organisations, which include among others: BMW plant, Servier Laboratories, Transnet and Eskom.
He joined Eskom in 2001 as an Accounts Executive and served in finance division and later moved to Human Resource (Transformation section) as a Human Resource Officer. His career highlight at Eskom was to play a major role in bailing out the organisation from the Director General’s (DG’s) review of the Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) in 2019. The primary functions within the Transformation section were to oversee employment equity Anaylysis, Planning and Reporting to DEL.
Conduct EE committee training and conduct Diversity training throughout the organisation. He oversaw the Transnet account at Eskom Finance, where he played a key role in curbing and controlling delinquent debtors as well as maintaining them within the target period of 45 days.
Mr Matsebe was also employed within the parcel and container wing of Trannet called Fast Forward, in the sales and marketing section servicing companies in need of transport for parcels and mini containers throughout South Africa. In addition, he worked for Servier Laboratories as a Medical Sales Representative, promoting medical products targeting General Practitioners in Gauteng and North West provinces. At BMW plant in Rosslyn, he worked as an Apprentice, where he was voted the best plant Apprentice in 1994.
Co-ordination and networking
Noah has experience in building, leading and co-coordinating teams within and across levels of professional and social divides around common objectives. He is able to interact at various levels and across disciplines. He has over the years developed an interest in the development of policies and procedures aligned to the Transformation processes.
Data handling, analysis, reporting and communication
Mr Matsebe pays attention to detail and works competently in Excel, Powerpoint and Word with both quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills. He analysed the quantitative data with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention. Noah has excellent communication abilities that include writing and presentation skills.
Capacity development , advocacy and knowledge dissemination
Noah is experienced in developing capacity in various ways. He has mentored a number of colleagues, including Persons with Disabilities and interns within the Transformation space. He also has experience in the design and facilitation of formal and informal training programmes within the organisation. Part of his duties entailed attending meetings, workshops, forums etc. whereby he was required to do presentations most of the time.
