I hold an Honours Degree in Education (B.Ed Hons) and currently I’m doing my Master’s Degree in Adult Learning and Global Change. I am self-motivated, self-driven and have more than 10 years’ experience in teaching isiXhosa. I was a member of the School Management Team and the Head of IsiXhosa Department at Silikamva High School.
I am enthusiastic, committed educator with innate ability to understand and motivate students. I strive to build student self-esteem and encourage understanding of cultural diversity and gender differences. I believe modelling for students the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among all community members.
Currently I am working as a High School Instructional Coach. Working as coach has allowed me the opportunity to work with teachers, one-on-one engagements, giving feedback, in tutoring(modelling) and group instruction. Create and deliver professional development programs for schools as required and support/supplement WCED trainings to ensure realization of teacher development goals. Contribute to School Management and learning to ensure alignment to WCED goals of academic excellence.
I am passionate about engaging students on all levels, enhancing their social experiences by encouraging group lessons and learning. Talented in using different teaching methods to reach out to students, drawn illustrations and visual presentations.
