NURSE AIDE. MPILO CENTRAL HOSPITAL The ward caters for both male and female patients with medical or surgical diagnosis from the ages of 13 and above. The department supports a broad range of clinical specialties which include:
● Breathing difficulties
● Fit or epileptic seizure
● Chest pain
● Upper and lower gastro intestinal bleeding
● Appendicitis
● Poisoning
● Burn
● Total patient care;
● Make beds
● Monitor patient’s condition by taking temperatures,
pulse, weight and respirations.
● Helping patients walk with walker, cane, and other devices.
● Assisting with range of motion exercises.
● Turning and positioning bed ridden patients
● Reporting all changes to the nurse.
● Rinsing non-disposable instruments and sending for autoclaving.
● Mopping of floors when necessary.
