CM 101 is a boutique Contract Management company that provides end-to-end Contract Management Services. I am the co-founder of this 100% black-female owned company. In its 1 year of existence, CM 101 has provided services to the following industries: mining, IT, construction, hospitality, and the public sector.
Our company provides end-to-end contract management service such as: As CEO and co-founder, my roles included procuring the best contract management system to provide as a service for our clients, business development, procuring clients for the company, and operational duties.

Executive: Legal Services - Telkom SOC Limited

I was employed as an Executive: Legal Services at Telkom SOC Limited (Seconded to BCX). I was the principal Legal Counsel for BCX and responsible for the functioning and effectiveness of the BCX legal department. I managed a team of 9 team members, which include a co-Executive, 4 Senior Legal Advisors, 3 Legal Specialists and a PA. The role had multiple dotted reporting lines: Reasons for Leaving: I took a package to go and start my own firm
- Assisted the CFO with implementing the company's financial strategies, which included – ensuring cost containment of legal costs as well as risk mitigation pertaining to the conduct of legal matters to avoid litigation
- Advised on M&A matters and provided strategic guidance on the acquisition process
- Conducted due diligence on major company contracts (proposed tenders of over R50 million – on the viability of the contract, potential profitability of the contract as well as any potential risks associated with the delivery of the contract
- Was a member of the procurement committee that adjudicated on proposed procurement for the company
- Conducting risk assessment on the company's contract environment and reporting
- Developing a RACI matrix for risk mitigation and management
- Advising on various legislation that affects the company and assisting the compliance officer in implementing
- Assisting CoSec to create policies and procedures (e.g. DoA, Ethics policy, Compliance Policy)
- Providing legal assistance and advice to CoSec on Board matters
- Drafting or reviewing company wide policies
- Providing legal advice and support on Board matters
- Providing Legal advice on all strategic and critical escalated matters
- General legal advice on the contract, corporate and commercial law aspect of the company
Contract Manager / IT Contract and Sourcing Manager - Airports Company SA

The IT Sourcing Department was established to management the huge budget of about R10 billion Rand. The IT department was making losses through ineffective procurement policies as well as lack of supplier management policies and processes. I was therefore employed to create policies, procedures and implement them company-wide to ensure efficiency and value for money. Some of the key projects I implemented include:
- I drafted a sourcing strategy to regulate procurement of services over R10 million. This included establishing cross-functional sourcing teams, tender development teams, bid evaluation teams as well as bid adjudicating teams. It also included the procurement methodology
- This strategy was key to cost containment and saved the company over R11 million in fruitless and wasteful expenditure
- The strategy also addressed audit findings, which were previous repeat findings and closed them all
- I established a supplier forum that served a purpose of having supplier days to allow suppliers to present their services and provide insight on how they could solve the key issues ACSA had
- Supplier forums also served to highlight new technologies in the market
- I implemented supplier management processes which created a governance model on managing services provided by suppliers. This helped in avoiding: duplication of services, fruitless and wasteful expenditure, inferior quality services
- I served in the Steering Committee involved in the planning of a very strategic tender that formed part of the new IT Strategy for IT Modernization within ACSA. It was a 5-year project, with the estimated cost of over R10 billion (present value) to make the IT Department the focal point of ACSA and turn the company into a digital company that makes ACSA a world leader in the aviation industry
- 5-year project estimated at R3 billion (present value) to roll out infrastructure and network related services across the whole of ACSA
- 2-year project and partnership with a leading Germany Airport to provide technology and communication infrastructure to improve customer satisfaction at ACSA's international airports
