Payroll & Benefits Officer – DNG Energy

• Oversee full payroll department in a timely manner
• Payroll: Prepare input, Process and check timesheets, run payroll, ensure accurate month end payments. Manage leave, medical aid, tax directives, increases, bonuses and all liabilities. Submit Schedules to third Parties. Submit EMP201/501, ROE’s. Handle the whole ESS Premier function. Ensure payroll is up to date, in line with company policies and government legislation. Create Forecasts and present audit reports to HR, Accounting, Department managers and the board.

Payroll Administrator – Lennings Rail and Sebilo Rail

• Oversee payroll department and ensure staff performance is reviewed and improved. Handle all payroll staff through monthly team sessions, performance review and all other HR aspects and well being.
• Payroll: Prepare input, Process and check timesheets, run payroll, ensure accurate month end payments. Manage leave, medical aid, tax directives, increases, bonuses and all liabilities. Submit Schedules to third Parties. Create Forecasts and present variance reports..
• Statutory Duties: Declare EMP201, Submit EMP501 annually and bi-annually. Update U-Filing Grid. Tax Compliance Status. Credit push. Manage Tax types. Assist with VAT201.
• Employee Admin: Create onboarding docs. Prepare exit docs incl UI19 (All UIF forms incl maternity, short time, etc) Certificate of service, Retirement Funds, Exit Interview, Accounts Recon. Prepare IRP5’s and help with ITR12’s. Advise on tax calculations, and all pay slip queries. COIDA claims.
• SAGE X3: Prepare GL and import into X3. Prepare and maintain monthly recons for all pay definitions and journal any discrepancies and provide reports to finance. Import payroll. Run cashbook.
• Excel: Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Macros on timesheets, construct formulas.
• HR: Prepare employment contracts, Policy Review Assistance (Ensure policies are in line with BCEA.SARS, Collective Agreement, LRA requirements.) Research and advise on employee benefits and health schemes. Newsletter Assistance. Assist on EXCO presentation. Assist with BEE. Assist with learnerships.
• Assist reporting payroll staff with other issues.

Senior Payroll Administrator - LabourNet

• Handled 12 client’s payroll.
• Capture Salaries and Wages and issue pay slips via ESS for weekly/fortnightly and monthly payrolls. 
• Process over 1500 pay slips. Process engagements and terminations. 
• Handle Employee leave, Loans, Garnishees, Retrenchments and Bonus Provisions. 
• Process payroll accurately and timeously, ensuring it is compliant.
