The opportunity presented in this listing is very interesting, and I believe that my office administrative experience will make me a suitable candidate for this position. I have 6 years work experience working as an administrator, and I am literate in the Microsoft package, and Microsoft Word is one of the program's I use on a daily basis. I am fluent in English as it was my first language subject at school, and fluent in isiXhosa as it is a home language for me.
At my previous job, I had to have strong communication skills, as I was dealing with clients, walk in, or clients over the phone, of which I became aware of being a team player to allow for efficiency in the office. As I supported the branch and Branch Manager planning and organizing are some skills I developed which assisted in knowing how my plans for work for the day and keeping the working environment clean. I supported the branch by using the printer for making copies when required and shred documents which are no longer needed.
I assisted clients with requests made, and made sure they were attended to, and escalated matters needed to. Filing was also part of my job, to keep record of documents, and keep them safe. I also did minute taking, typed them, proofread, and sent them to relevant people.
I would request for courier pick ups, for the sending of parcels, and would receive and send courier parcels to the relevant persons. I also answered the telephone and would direct calls to relevant persons and would also take messages. I can process the claims of subsistence and travel allowances and make bookings for accommodation, vehicle bookings and venues.
I would also purchase staff amenities and the ordering of stationery, or what is required for the office, and flexible in taking on other responsibilities. The key strengths that I possess for success in this position include:
