My name is Nhlanhla Mngomezulu I hold a BSc degree in Chemistry and Physiology and a certificate in Food and Beverage Operations. Currently, I am employed as a laboratory technician at the Department of Water and Sanitation. I have more than three years of experience as a laboratory technician.
I perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using AAS, GC and HPLC. I receive or collect, as well as process, samples. I calculate test results and log and report results using Laboratory Information Management System.
I prepare and supervise experiments, perform quality control, and calibrate equipment if necessary. I maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area according to the General Laboratory Safety Rules.
I have three years of experience as a Machine Operator which was acquired at Unilever South Africa. My duties were to set up the machine, perform change-over, clean the work area, take hourly samples, perform first-line maintenance, organise packaging equipment at the beginning of the shift, and check Julian’s date hourly. I also have experience in the automated ABB palletising system and forklift driving.
I practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
I want to leave my current position because I want growth (career and financial). I think this company has enough opportunities to provide me with my desires.
