Penelope (Penny) is a qualified and experienced Training and Development Officer. She is currently the Provincial Officer responsible for Gauteng Regions in HWSETA. Her roles in the current position include amongst others:
▪ Implement delegated Research Information Monitoring & Evaluation function
▪ Implement delegated Skills Development Planning functions
▪ Identify and support innovative/ adhoc projects and partnerships.
▪ Coordinating and facilitating projects within HWSETA
▪ Implement required Corporate Service functions
▪ Implement required Finance functions.
▪ Build and manage Stakeholder Relations.
▪ Identify, report and mitigate risk in the provincial office.
▪ Facilitating the process of accreditation
▪ Contributing to internal business of the ETQA operation
▪ Implement delegated Education Training Quality Assurance functions
▪ Capacity building of potential stakeholders or training providers
▪ Conduct Capacity building and information sharing workshops.
▪ Support employers and SDPs with the implementation of RPL
▪ Recommend approval of Assessment Centre, if compliant (QCTO)
▪ Implement the External Integrated Summative Assessment process
▪ Evaluate the readiness of the Assessment Centre for the EISA (QCTO)
▪ Monitor the EISA (QCTO)
▪ Facilitating learner achievement capturing in the National Learner Record Database
(NLRD)
▪ Conducting the monitoring, evaluation, RPL and verification functions
Occupationally Directed Training and Development Practice (ODTDP) at NQF Level 6. Shecompleted Degree in Business Management from UNISA, National Certificate And her Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Business Management.
▪ Excellent understanding of the Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA), Skills
Development Planning (SDP), Research Information Monitoring and Evaluation (RIME) , Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) , South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) environment.
▪ Knowledge of relevant legislation in the Skills Development area.
▪ Ability to meet tight deadlines.
▪ Excellent communication skills.
▪ Being proactive and have self-discipline.
▪ Good knowledge of personal development plan system.
▪ Performance development review system.
