I currently work as a freelance Data Analyst consulting for some of South Africa’s leading companies in the BI sector, using my expertise in deploying and using QlikView and Qlik Sense to help companies get the most out of their data. I am proficient in using most accounting systems and have an excellent knowledge of where and how data is stored. I help companies develop dashboards to access and use their data more effectively and where possible, I can automate processes that enable companies to work smarter.
I am a specialist in designing and constructing highly scalable data management and information systems using a number of different BI systems, analyzing business metrics using these systems.
My career started in credit management, and I became experienced in systems analysis and the power of utilizing data using applications like Crystal Reports and later QlikView , Qlik Sense and Power BI. I was promoted into an operations management position, and I learnt how to manage a company and ensure it could operate efficiently and profitably. I became good at analyzing information and setting up financial, CRM and ERP systems to simplify the reporting process and enable management to have to have the information they needed.
My IT skills include QlikView, QlikSense, Qlik NPrinting, Power BI, SQL, G Suite, Crystal Reports, Geo-Analytics, ETL, Kerridge, Pastel and SAP.
Recent projects include automating reporting processes, developing an app for an major automotive company, consolidating data from multiple sources into one application for a multinational corporation and setting up a demand and stock management system for an FMCG company.
When I am not consulting in BI, my time is taken up with Alvarium, an urban beekeeping and pollination business that I help establish in 2017. We are passionate about bees and we produce the best, raw single nectar honey you can find anywhere. Raw honey has many health benefits and ours in locally sourced and 100% organic. Bees are vital to the environment and we are dedicated to their survival in an urban setting
