- Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimensions.
- Bridge structures
- Cranes fabrication
- Organizing and assembling boiling parts.
- Shaping and fabricating parts.
- Toll gate structure fabrication.
- Stairs /handrails fabrication.
- Plant structures.
- Inspecting equipment for proper functioning.
- Welding sections of iron, steel copper, or other metals together to form them into large structures.
- Following blueprints, to locate and mark reference points on boiler foundations, and then, using plumb bobs, straightedges, and levels align the sections to fit properly together.
- Operating cutting torches, hammers, files, and power grinders to smooth edges and weld pieces into place.
- Repairing, maintaining, and updating older vessels and often replacing components in boilers, and inserting refractory brick, and other heat-resistant materials.
- Inspecting tubes, valves, and other fittings for wear and testing them for leaks.
- Supervising the cleaning of vats and repairing or replacing damaged sections, using metalworking machinery to fabricate parts.
- When fabricating parts, I work with a team to study the design drawings and created patterns using straightedges, levels, squares, and transits.
- Improved turnaround time by pre-fabricating and storing regularly used parts to shorten the repair process and therefore optimising productivity
