Risk Assessment and Management:

Conducting comprehensive Baseline Risk assessments of construction and mining sites and activities to identify potential hazards and risks. Analyzing the risks associated with various construction tasks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Implementing control measures to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

Compliance Monitoring:

Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations, codes of practice, permits, legal notifications and industry standards on construction and mining sites. Monitoring and assessing compliance through regular inspections and audits. Identifying non-compliance issues and recommending corrective actions to address them.

Safety Planning and Documentation:

Identifying potential hazards and providing recommendations for their mitigation. Inspecting the proper use of safety equipment, signage, and protective measures. Collaborating with construction and production teams to address safety concerns promptly.

Emergency Preparedness:

Assisting in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans for construction sites. This includes creating evacuation plans, conducting emergency drills, and ensuring the availability of first aid equipment and emergency response systems. Providing guidance on effective emergency communication and response protocols.

Contractor Management:

Collaborating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that they adhere to health and safety requirements. Reviewing contractor safety plans and procedures. Conducting pre-qualification assessments of contractors to evaluate their health and safety practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

Acting as a point of contact for health and safety matters on construction sites. Communicating with construction teams, supervisors, and management regarding safety procedures, regulations, and best practices. Engaging with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance and exchange information.
