Having completed a short tenure as a Candidate Legal Practitioner, I am ready to start a challenging and rewarding legal career. I have a keen interest in contracting, commercial law, company law, and corporate governance, and the general legal practice and want to start a career in an environment that will enable me to take on a role of substantial decision-making.
Despite my relatively nascent experience in the legal fraternity, I believe that my educational background, acquired legal skills, and passion for the law will enable me to discharge my duties confidently and with great quality. I have gained corporate law consciousness by association with my Mentor who is the Company Secretary for a JSE-listed company. One of the key skills I possess is the ability to conduct due diligence and pay attention to detail.
These essential skills have, in my previous role at Peter Zwane Attorneys, made me a distinguishable team player as I assisted two clients of the firm to retrieve possession of their respective properties financed by one of the top 5 (five) South African financial service institutions following their omission to conduct the required due diligence before instituting legal proceedings (the compliance with preliminary obligations imposed by the National Credit Act 34 of 2005). My findings demonstrated gross negligence on the financial institution's part for omitting to either act in accordance or remain updated with the changing regulations of the industry and the occasional ‘law amending’ judgments by our courts. This legal exposure has proven to be a particularly rewarding and fulfilling learning experience.

Provided legal advice and representation to clients. Attended to legal matters including ligation in the District Court (first year) and Regional Court (second year). Drafted legal documents such as contracts, settlement agreements, court documents, legal correspondence and more.

Collected and analyzed data to detect the ineffectiveness of policies, deficient controls, duplicated effort by the government, as well as noncompliance with laws and regulations.

Delivered legal services to indigent members of the public in line with the guidelines of the Law Society of South Africa. Consulted with clients, drafted legal correspondence and court documents for Magistrate’s Court litigation.
