Deliver the highest technical standard, workmanship & quality from the workshop staff in order to assure total customer satisfaction.
Supervise the workshop, work distribution and its staff to achieve maximum productivity.
Train & coach Technical staff.
Audit Workshop standards and quality of repairs on a regular basis.
Monitor work distribution between the main PDI and Recon.
Audit work write-ups / worksheets to ensure they are written up and recorded accurately
Audit additional worksheets are completed correctly together with any time extension to the original completion deadline.
Ensure the technicians are conversant with the service and workshop bulletins, rules and safety matters and maintain discipline.
Instruct team leaders / technicians concerning repair procedures.
Co-ordinate workshop staff training plan with training manager, internal and external.
Ensure adequate supply of clean service kits and vehicle protection aids are used at all times.
Responsible for general order and cleanliness in the workshop.
Ensure that basic tools, special tools equipment and workshop bulletins / literature are completed and up to date.
Ensure that all warranty work carried out complies with manufacturers terms and conditions.
Monitor replacement and exchange parts are return for claim.
Advise service advisers and technicians on retail, warranty, internal work and return parts when required.
Arrange emergency services or overtime cover as specified by Service Manager.
Provide technical backup for service advisers and technical information when necessary for customers.
Ensure to communicate all technical updates to the technicians.
Customer communication, educating customers about the product.
Test drive vehicle after completion of work when necessary , to monitor quality control
Ensure adequate workshop staff are available for the required work load.
Ensure that time control procedures are adhered to and all diagnostic on the vehicles are carried out as per manufacturer standard.
Road test the vehicles on critical situations to identify the problems or make sure the customer complaint is resolved before the vehicle is deliver
