I am a Chartered Accountant by profession, having obtained both my B.Compt degree and B.Compt (Hons) degree through UNISA before passing the Board exam in 1995.

I served my Articles with Price Waterhouse and then completed national service through SARS before entering commerce.

I have complete supply chain experience, having worked in transport and logistics with Grindrod, manufacturing with First Look Cosmetics and financial services with both Coronation and Cadiz before moving into retail as Head of Group Finance with the Clicks Group and, more recently, Chief Financial Officer at ARC Stores.

I do not perceive myself as a typical accountant; I pride myself on my people skills and ability to extract the most from my peers and team. My leadership style is inclusive, and I believe good communication is critical to the team's success.
