I have been employed at two different Bargaining Councils since 2013 as Industrial Relations Agent and have extensive knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Collective Agreements of different industries.
I have assisted employee parties with referring disputes to Bargaining Councils and CCMA. My journey in the industry has given me opportunity to grow knowledge in different areas of Labour Laws.
March 2020 – Current
Ensuring enforcement of Collective Agreement.
Performing inspections and audits on all employers as and when required.
Counselling and advising employees and employers on Industry issues and changes.
Drafting and submitting of Compliance Orders where rules and regulations are not followed.
Preparing documentation for Collective Agreement Arbitrations & serving on employers.
Represent Council during Collective Agreement Arbitrations Enforcements of awards.
Consulting with appointed Attorneys, to enforce debt collections for any arrear payments.
Assisting employers with the Exemption procedures.
Preparing reports for board meetings and presenting these reports to board members.
Drafting certifications of awards for the CCMA.
Registrations of new employees and employers.
