Robyn-Leigh Phillips

As a recently graduated Sociology and Gender Studies major at the University of Cape Town, I am excited to enter the corporate world. I possess a positive attitude, exceptional work ethic and strong determination to meet or surpass all targets and goals as both an individual and a team member.

With regards to my working experience, as a promoter I was set certain targets and in order to reach those targets I had to persuade customers to use promotional advertising items or to buy into certain products. In order to do so I had to listen intently to the client’s needs and often solve problems by figuring out how to best market the product in order to fit the client’s specific interest or needs. We often worked in groups which molded me into being a dependable team player.

The job taught me patience and encouraged me to adapt the glass half full attitude

I have experience in administration as I worked for the City of Cape Town as an EPWP worker. My roles included capturing title deed data as well as filing of documents. I also arranged the handing over of the title deeds to the respective owners and was responsible for making and receiving telephonic calls. The job required one to be detail-oriented as we dealt with important information and details involving title deeds and the title deed holders.

I started my studies at the University of Cape Town in 2018 and graduated in March 2022.
