- Administer Leave Administration: capture and update leave applications on PERSAL. Provide leave credits to OCJ officials on request
- Perform leave Audits, retrieve, quality check and submit documents for audit requests
- Process housing allowance and resettlement benefits
- Receive appointment and service termination documents
- Development, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, improvement, and communication of relevant HR policies, guidelines and procedure manuals with regards to Conditions of Services
- Administer leave and ensure maintenance of leave on HR information systems, leave gratuity and discounting
- Provide advice on HR Conditions of Services issues and policies; receive queries from Line Function and other stakeholders (GEMS and GEPF)
- Respond to enquiries and queries and provide ad hoc support. Implementation and maintenance of PILIR
- Implementation and maintenance of relevant functionalities on HR Information Management Systems and provide advice on utilisation of the system
- Process the resettlement allowance payment on PERSAL
- Process the injury on duty (IOD) information on compensation fund website
- Conduct recruitment and selection processes for COID Services in the Province
- Develop the database for filled and vacant posts for COID Services in the Province
- Perform conditions of service processes for COID Services in the Province
- Administer PERSAL establishment for COID Services in the Province
- Capture appointments and service terminations on PERSAL
- Administer service terminations
- Issuing of ill-health retirement forms (PILLIR)
- Advise, compile and submit PILIR applications to Health Risk Manager
- Handle human resource enquiries and assist with all matters related to the staff establishment
- Instate transactions on PERSAL regarding appointments, relocations, transfers, movements, promotions and probation
- Administer Conditions of Service including leave management for employees of the department
- Assist in compiling, Implementing, updating and submitting employee benefits such as allowances (GEHS / GEPF/GPAA), Overtime, Pension, Medical aid and Resettlement etc
- Issue, Receive and reconcile applications
- Capturing leave forms/ appointments / transfers / promotions/ terminations. Implement OSD translations on PERSAL
- Administer the exit management for employees of the Department including pension benefits and leave gratuity payments
- Processing applications for early and normal retirement

- Assist in conducting awareness sessions on leave, service benefits, recruitment and on audit findings to ensure compliance
- Provide administrative support and ensure correct implementation of PMDS within the Department

- Update and maintain PMDS database for Performance agreements, Mid-Term Reviews and Annual Performance Assessments
- Assist with conducting PMDS workshops and briefing sessions
