Sam Khoza

As an accomplished corporate strategist, I am directly involved in the management and development of various ICT systems, Infrastructure and Technologies including ERP systems. I am familiar and Knowledgeable in developing business and technology strategies, ICT policies and procedures, leading effective technical and business teams along with formulating and implementing business development strategies.

I have over 20 years’ work experience in various organizations. I am currently employed by the University of Venda as the ICT Director (CIO) managing all the ICT functions. I was also employed as a Director ICT Architecture and Integration in office of Government CIO, developing a common vision and strategy in terms of system architecture and governance to guide e-Government implementation efforts.

I was a Director and Programme Manager in the implementation of City of Tshwane systems including electronic billing system. I have developed the ICT digital strategy and master plan which is aligned with the University strategy 2025. In my institution, stakeholder management, communication and staff training has become part of our ICT project plan to get all the stakeholders involved.

I have more than 20 years’ experience applying change management in various projects particularly to digital and self service projects.

I hold a master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria. I have also completed the CIO program with Wits University. I have over 20 years’ work experience in various organizations. I have BA and BA hons degree. I have completed number of short courses and certifications.
