I was working in a paediatric HIV/ AIDS and TB department. We were also doing neonatal follow ups for premature babies and babies who were born with problems.

Nursing assistant - Ngwelezana Tertiary Hospital

I was working in a HIV/AIDS department, specialising in children from birth to 12 years, my role was doing vital signs, reporting abnormalities, health education to patients and showing guardians how to give treatment to their children.

• Reason for leaving: Children's departments moved from Ngwelezana to Queen Nandi.

Nursing assistant - Nkonjeni District Hospital

(2011-01 - 2012-03)

I was working in a paediatric ward. Dealing with kids from 1 month to 12 years, sick and injured. My role was basic nursing care, including baths, bed making, feeding, care of pressure parts, health education and doing vital signs.

• Reason for leaving: Transfer to other institution.

I joined the agency in Empangeni and worked in Life Empangeni garden clinic. I am still the member of the agency still. I worked mostly in surgical ward and maternity ward.

I oriented and worked in Cardiac and Day ward at Netcare The Bay hospital. I am still the member and have also worked in surgical ward (surgical 2).
